Description:
This 19x10cm book has real leather hinges and a buttonhole binding. Instructions will take you step by step to produce this vintage inspired journal. You choose the pattern you want for the covers so you can personalise the book to your taste. We have included a faux key hole to add with a closure if you choose.
Reviews
A buttonhole bind is a fairly new stitch I've learned. I placed some thicker card behind the leather tabs to stabilise it for stitching. A curved needle is helpful for linking under the signatures. I also found using Janie's Finishing Press (an extra pair of hands!) very helpful to hold a larger group of signatures together in the correct place giving accurate marks for hole placement. I was able to mark all in one go which was a time saver and enabled a very neat finish for piercing.
Lovely kit but I can't make head or tail of the instructions on binding the signatures together and there are no pictures for that bit either bit disappointed .
