Join us for the final retreat of 2026 to create a range of festive book projects. Beginners are welcome as we will guide you through the skills needed to create your final projects. Enjoy a home prepared festive lunch and refreshments throughout the day, in the magnificent Somerset country house.

We provide the use of all tools needed and supply all materials within the cost of the day, so you don't need to think of anything other than arriving for an enjoyable and relaxed day of crafting.

We keep our groups small to ensure you get all the attention and guidance needed to create profession results.

The Retreat will be held on 12th December 2026 and will be packed full of fun and creative friendships. You will create a variety of creative book projects with Janie.

The retreat will be held at Hurds Hill, Langport, Somerset, TA10 0ND.

The day will run from 10am-5pm with lunch and refreshment breaks.

There will be a stunning festive shared platter lunch. We will contact you via email before the event to ask for any dietary requirements.

The price includes all materials needed, full tuition, and use of required tools. There will be free parking on site.

We will have the whole country house to ourselves for the day. There are plenty of little nooks to sit peacefully and unwind, including three libraries! There are fantastic views and a lovely walk around the garden. The house has an eclectic feel that will get your imagination flowing.

You are welcome to arrive from 9.30am to settle in before we start at 10am. We will have a small pop up shop open through the day.

The venue has disabled access, If you require any specific support, please inform us before booking.

Your booking is secured with full payment.

payments are non-refundable, unless Janie's Originals or Hurds Hill need to cancel the event and a suitable date can not be found to replace the cancelled event. Should you need to cancel your place we will endeavour to fill your space to enable us to return any payments made.
