Join us from August 23rd to 25th to be Immersed in the gorgeous Country House experience, we will be creating a range of beginner book projects over the weekend within a small group of like minded crafters. You will learn many binding techniques that can be transferred to a wide range of your own book making projects at home. All materials and use of tools are included in the amazing price!

Country House Craft Studio takes great pride in delivering a friendly and relaxed high-quality experience. You will leave with wonderful memories and new crafty friends.
We limit residential spaces to 15 people, allowing us to deliver a personalised experience where everyone gets the tutoring and guidance they require.
We aim to cater to all and have had amazing feedback from past attendees who frequently return to the fantastic venue with us. (If you have any specific needs, please do not hesitate to contact Janie before booking to ensure you are happy with our service)
The Deposit only package is available to book now, we will then send you an invocie for final payment at an agreed upon time to be cleared by August 9th.

Beginners Bookbinding Retreat. August.
The Retreat will be held on 23rd-25th August 2025 and will be packed full of fun and creative friendships. You will create a variety of creative book projects with Janie.
The retreat will be held at Country House Craft Studio, Hurds Hill, Langport, Somerset, TA10 0ND.
Teaching sessions will run from 1-5pm Saturday and 11-5pm Sunday and 10-12pm Monday. You will have the use of the studio between these times if you want to create at your own pace.
There will be a stunning shared platter lunch on Satuday and Sunday.
The residential package includes breakfast, lunch, tea/coffee and 3 course dinner all included in the price as detailed in the poster on this listing.
The price includes all materials needed, full tuition, and use of required tools. There will be free parking on site.
We will have the whole country house to ourselves for the full weekend. There are plenty of little nooks to sit peacefully and unwind, including three libraries! There are fantastic views and a lovely walk around the garden. The house has an eclectic feel that will get your imagination flowing.
The retreat has disabled access, including 1 ground floor bedroom with disabled access and a wet room. If you require any specific support, please inform us before booking.
We will ask before the retreat if you have any dietary requirements to ensure we have enough choice to suit everybody’s needs.
Your booking is secured by full payment or with a £50pp deposit*, followed by arranged payment to clear the total balance by August 9th.
*Deposits and full payments are non-refundable unless Janie's Originals or Country House Craft Studio need to cancel the event and another date can not be agreed upon with you.
